Prospective online students

An advanced degree provides an edge when applying for senior-level positions or advancing to a higher level in an organization. Designed for working professionals, UW CEE offers several online master’s degree programs. The flexibility of an online program allows students to pursue a specialized focus while setting their own schedule, enabling them to participate from any location and work full-time.

Online courses are open to graduate students as electives across the College of Engineering. Students interested in specializing in a specific program should apply directly to the track.

Master's in Energy Infrastructure

The online Master of Science in Civil Engineering: Energy Infrastructure program prepares students to plan, design, construct and manage energy related infrastructure projects. The new program responds to current changes in the country’s energy infrastructure, which is quickly moving from traditional fossil fuel systems to renewable sources. The changes are driven by both climate change concerns and technological advancements. The program can be completed in 2-3 years.

Master’s in Construction Engineering

The only online master's degree of its kind in the country, the Master of Science in Civil Engineering: Construction Engineering program allows students to pursue an advanced degree in heavy construction, focusing on roads, bridges, marine construction, infrastructure and more. The program was developed by an interdisciplinary team from the departments of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Construction Management. The program can be completed in 2 years.

The online Master of Supply Chain Transportation and Logistics program prepares students to take a leadership role in the end-to-end management of transportation in a global supply chain. As companies increasingly extend their operations globally, professionals trained in transportation and logistics are critical to business success. The program can be completed in 2 years.

Master’s in Sustainable Transportation

The online Master of Sustainable Transportation program provides transportation engineers and planners with the latest knowledge, skills and tools needed to become leaders in developing and maintaining sustainable transportation practices. The program explores sustainable transportation planning, policy and analysis and examines the growing concern for transportation's environmental, social and economic impact on society. The program can be completed in 2-3 years.
