Students typically complete their program prerequisites and general education requirements (roughly 90 credits) during their freshmen and sophomore years.

Engineering Undeclared (ENGRUD) students: Complete the College of Engineering Placement Requirements for placement into the BSCE program.

Transfer and non-Direct to College (DTC) students: Application prerequisites are designated below with a single asterisk (*) whereas enrollment prerequisites are designated with a double asterisk (**).  For a complete list of application and enrollment requirements, see the College of Engineering Prerequisite by Major for Transfer and Non-DTC Student page.

  • IND E 250 (4 credits), ECON 200 or 201 (5 credits), or ESRM/ECON/ENVIR 235 (5 credits)  
    • Note: ECON/ESRM/ENVIR options will also satisfy the Social Sciences (SSc) requirement.
